config.changelog with ranges

What changes in config.changelog with ranges compared with MongoDB and what your application has to do.

This difference is of the Different kind.

What MongoDB does

config.changelog records chunk moves of a shard key, with their ns and bounds.

What TeselaDB does

The ns field is empty and the bounds are binary keys, because ranges are not chunks of a shard key. A replica change is recorded as moveChunk.commit and a core change as relocate.

What your application has to do

If a tool reads config.changelog, it must not expect bounds shaped as a shard key.
