Install on Linux
Download the binary for your system or use the Docker image.
Install the teseladb binary on a Linux machine to start nodes on it. It is a single binary with no dependencies.
Requirements
| System | Architecture | Use |
|---|---|---|
| Linux | x86_64 | Production |
| Linux | aarch64 | Production |
| macOS | Apple Silicon | Development, no latency guarantees |
On Linux, TeselaDB uses io_uring and writes with O_DIRECT to NVMe disks. You need permission to write to
/usr/local/bin or to another directory on your PATH.
Download and check the archive
Download the archive for your platform from Download. Each archive has its SHA-256 sum next to it; check it before installing:
Shell
sha256sum -c teseladb-<version>-linux-x86_64.tar.gz.sha256Install the binary
Shell
tar -xzf teseladb-<version>-linux-x86_64.tar.gz
sudo install teseladb /usr/local/bin/macOS and Docker have their own pages: Install on macOS and Install with Docker.
Check
If the binary is on your PATH, this command prints the version you downloaded:
Shell
teseladb --versionCommon problems
sha256sumsaysFAILED: the archive arrived incomplete or is not the published one. Download it again and do not install it until the sum matches.- If the kernel has no io_uring, the node still starts with I/O threads and says so in the log when it starts.
