Install

Download the binary for your system or use the Docker image.

TeselaDB is a single binary with no dependencies. In production it runs on Linux; on macOS it is for development.

Platforms

SystemArchitectureUse
Linuxx86_64Production
Linuxaarch64Production
macOSApple SiliconDevelopment, with no latency guarantees

On Linux, TeselaDB uses io_uring and writes with O_DIRECT to NVMe disks. If the kernel has no io_uring, it uses I/O threads and says so in the log.

Linux and macOS

Download the archive for your platform from Downloads, extract it and install the binary on your PATH:

Shell
tar -xzf teseladb-<version>-linux-x86_64.tar.gz
sudo install teseladb /usr/local/bin/
teseladb --version

Each archive has its SHA-256 sum next to it. Check it before installing:

Shell
sha256sum -c teseladb-<version>-linux-x86_64.tar.gz.sha256

Docker

The image carries the same binary. Keep the data in a volume so it outlives the container:

Shell
docker run -d --name teseladb -p 27017:27017 -v teseladb-data:/data \
  teseladb/teseladb:<version> start --dbpath /data
